Starting on the east side of the Don River and stretching all the way to the city border at the Rouge River, the east side is a good mix of affordable starter areas, with some upscale old neighbourhoods thrown in too. Major areas include The Beaches, Leslieville, The Danforth, East York and Scarborough.
